I started my entrepreneurial career as a greedy capitalist real estate investor trying to get rich and retire by 30. While I had a lot of success in the space, I always felt like I was missing the bigger picture. It was once I started donating $10/door/month to charity that I realized there was a better way to do business. What if my business could be used to serve a bigger purpose in the world. That has lead me to where I am today supporting hundreds of business owners to look at their business as ways to make more impact in the world, instead of for their own personal greed.
One of the biggest impact stories I have is when I went and served at my friends orphanage in baja Mexico called The International Network of Hearts. They support children that have been recovered from sex trafficking and give them a safe space to live. It was on that trip that I spent $50 and bought them all icecream and realized that in that moment, I could make those kids forget about their pain for a period of time and that made me the happiest person ever. A simple act of kindness that cost me so little had one of the biggest impacts on these kids and myself.
